We just received a request from Peter Harrold of the Tokyo Broadcasting System to hook up with schools to do a piece on codebreaking, Bletchley, GCHQ and Bond. They are the oldest and largest independant broadcaster in Japan so this is quite a coup and it would be great to find a school keen to be involved. Do get in touch with him if you are interested. A reminder that we are looking for schools to get involved not individual teams, so please talk to your teachers first. All the best, Harry

To whom it my concern,

My name is peter and I am an assistant news producer for Japan’s oldest and largest independent broadcast network.

After watching William Hague’s speech at Bletchley Park yesterday, I  decided it would be interesting to do a report on the University of Southampton’s National Cipher Challenge, possibly tied in with a report on GCHQ’s new policies on recruiting the next generation of James Bond!

I would really appreciate it if the person or persons in charge of the Cipher Challenge could get in touch with me.  My details are at the bottom of this message.

Thank you for your time,

Yours faithfully,

Peter Harrold
