Congratulations to everyone who is still with us. Challenge 2 was a little trickier, but many of you managed it and several remarked that they though 2A was harder than 2B. Let's see how you get on with Challenge 3! The rounds will start to get a bit more interesting as time goes on, as from this stage the scores really count. Challenge 1 and Challenge 2 were just a warm up, but your overall score in the competition leader boards will be based on the scores you get for 3B, 4B, 5B, 6B, 7B and 8B.

It may only have been a practice round but we do have some small prizes to give out for Challenge 2A, and this week the 8 winning teams are:

Chloe Lydia from The John Bentley School

Charlie Hu from City of London School
Thomas Mason, Catherine Rowlands, Charlotte Lloyd, Reece Ram from Shire Oak Academy
Jack Greenslade, Matthew Penney, Michael Farrell from Emmanuel College

A series of invited participants at your maths club; a school trip; resources for your school. We are looking for imaginative ideas to reach out to those who might not otherwise realise that they like maths. The whole spirit of the National Cipher Challenge is about grpping the imagination, so show us what you can do and have a go at winning this award. The winners will be invited to the Prizegiving at Bletchley Park on March 7th, More details to follow.
