With over 2,000 of you all trying to access the site at once the server decided to go on strike. Apologies that you were not able to get in at that point. We did eventually get enough control to put up a holding page with the Challenges on, and we also posted an image of the text on twitter, so hopefully you all had a chance to try to decipher the first messages.
You have until midnight tomorow (Friday) to get full marks for Challenge 1 and the site should be up for you to post your submissions by the morning. If you can't get onto the site please don't panic and keep trying to reload the page, that just adds stress to an already strained system and makes it harder for everyone to get in. In case you didn't notice, the first couple of challenges don't contribute to your competition score anyway, they are just practice rounds.
We have brought in a more powerful machine tonight and are testing it for deployment for tomorrow, so hopefully the problem won't recur anyway, but just in case do subscribe to the Twitter feed https://twitter.com/Cipher_Master to get all the latest updates.
